We are excited to announce that we are setting up Single Sign-On between PowerSchool and your Azure account (AD, Windows Computer Login, and/or Email for staff)!

Who and what will this affect?

This will affect the login experience for all staff, teachers, and students.

How will I log in to PowerSchool Admin/Teacher/Student?

Step 1:

Navigate to either:

Step 2: You will no longer see the “old” sign in page. Instead, you will see a Microsoft sign in page.

Step 3: Use your Azure Active Directory (AAD) credentials.

  • Admin & Teachers - These are the credentials you use to log into your Passaic email.

  • Students - These are the credentials you would use to log into a Windows computer or Clever using the AD sign in option.
Note for Grades 6+: This may NOT be the same password as your Google/Chromebook account.

Step 4: That’s it! You should be entered directly into PowerSchool/PowerTeacher.
Note that if you log out of PowerTeacher on one tab, you will also be logged out of your Passaic email, if you have it open on another tab.

Helpful hint: Start your day by logging into Clever using the Active Directory sign in option.  If you keep Clever open, you can enter into your Passaic email and PowerTeacher without having to enter your credentials again!

How can I direct my students to log in?

  • If your students are logging into Clever with Active Directory (AD), then they will be able to click directly on the PowerSchool Student button within Clever and be logged in automatically.
  • If your students are logging into Clever with Google, then they’ll be prompted to enter Azure Active Directory (AAD) credentials when they click on PowerSchool Student.
To avoid this extra step, encourage your students to sign into Clever with AD, not Google.

I (or my student) forgot my Azure Active Directory (AAD) password. What should I do?

Request a password reset by clicking here.  To be sure your ticket is sent properly,

  • Under “Choose an Account”, select “Azure Active Directory Account”.

  • If you’re requesting a password reset for a colleague or one of your students, be sure to select “Request for someone else” box on the right-hand side.

When I log into PowerSchool, I get this error message. What should I do?

This error likely means that your account information in PowerSchool does not match with what is in Azure AD.
