This article provides information about student logins and badges for each new school year.
- Students who will be entering Grade 4 in the new school year: These students currently use a Clever Badge to log into their Chromebooks, Clever, and most other apps. As 4th graders, they will no longer use badges. Instead, they will use the district default password to log into their Chromebook. Note: Exiting 3rd graders will still use their Clever Badges in Summer School.
- Students who will be entering Grade 6 in the new school year: These current 5th graders will experience a password reset over the summer (usually in mid-August). This means they will no longer use the district default password that was assigned to them. When an entering 6th grade student tries to log into a Chromebook after this reset, they will be prompted to create their own secure password. Please refer to this document for guidance on how to create a secure password. Students should be reminded that their passwords are never to be shared with others.
- Heads up for teachers of students in Grades PreK-3: All Clever Badges reset over the summer. That means that in September, teachers will need to reprint student Clever badges. If the student has a device at home, please make sure to send a new badge home as well.
